Does the carbon neutral will influence the activated carbon industry?

Does the carbon neutral will influence the activated carbon industry? what will be the direction of development of the activated carbon industry.

China, the world's largest emitter of carbon dioxide, has promised to become carbon neutral before 2060, and to begin cutting its emissions within the next ten years.

President Xi Jinping made the ambitious pledge to a virtual audience of world leaders at a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly last month. The news came as a surprise to many researchers, even in China, who weren’t expecting such a bold target. It’s the country’s first long-term climate goal, and will require China to rein in CO2 and probably other greenhouse-gas emissions to net zero, which means offsetting gases that are released, for example by planting trees or capturing carbon and storing it underground.

Based on the this target before 2030 the Chinese  trategy will be rollout step by step .

Activated carbon, also called activated charcoal, is a form of carbon processed to have small, low-volume pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. Activated is sometimes replaced by active.

Due to its high degree of microporosity, one gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 3,000 m2 (32,000 sq ft)as determined by gas adsorption.An activation level sufficient for useful application may be obtained solely from high surface area. Further chemical treatment often enhances adsorption properties.

Activated carbon is usually derived from charcoal. When derived from coal it is referred to as activated coal. Activated coke is derived from coke.

From material and process ,seems our activated carbon is directly related to the carbon neutral ,cause during we carbonzing and activation from different material ,(such like wood, biomass, shells,even coal ,) there will be CO2 created . Plants keep the carbon but carbon industry is release the carbon again . seems our carbon industry will be the one soon shutted down by goverment .  

But just like the plants ,they only daytime catch carbon , but in evening they will release carbon ,so that is the carbon neutral . our activated carbon industy just like the plants , after we activated it , it will used for the Atmospheric governance and water treatment , the activated carbon will catch many organic matter and keep them in a stable form in the mircro holes of the activated carbon.  and it will clean the gas before discharge not only organic matters .

So I think the carbon neutral will not influenced too much for the activated carbon production in recently years , cause the activated carbon play an important role during the enviroment protection process .but we need to find the way and improve the production process which will with very smaller the carbon release or zero carbon release .
